Welcome to the 2025-2026 School Year!

Lolo School is delighted to welcome returning students and families, along with a strong number of fresh faces. The summer has been busy with free meals, cleaning, and maintenance. Our facilities look great and we're ready for the new year.

Parent-Student Handbook & Annual Notices

We're providing the parent-student handbook electronically again this year. The handbook contains important information about the operations of the school, behavior, discipline, and annual notices that are required by state and federal governments.

After reviewing the handbook and notices, please use this link to sign off electronically. The sooner the better! If you need a paper copy of the handbook and/or notices, we'll be glad to provide one at the school office.

Why this is important: The annual notices and permissions give the school direction on many items, including authorization for students to access technology devices and the internet. Please review the handbook and notices and e-sign today!

Green curb and sign

Is that a green curb?

Traffic can be tough, but we're always improving. To that end, we've made some visual improvements to remind folks how to make the best use of the drop-off and pick-up lane. You'll notice the bright green curb and accompanying signs. Keep that lane moving!

Open House!

Open House for grades 1 through 8 is a chance to find your classroom, meet your teacher, and drop off school supplies. Stop by any time between 4:00 pm and 5:30 pm on Thursday, August 28.

Open House for Kindergarten is unique and looks different than the other open house. This event uses a scheduled program for parents and students. Please arrive by 4:00 pm on Wednesday, August 27. Bring your school supplies, too!

The school sealed asphalt surfaces as part of its regular maintenance. PTSA chipped in to have basketball, foursquare, and hopscotch courts painted on the fresh surface. Your participation, donations, and support of PTSA make a difference. Thanks, PTSA!

Parking

For typical day-to-day operations, the large main parking lot in front of the school is reserved for parent/guest parking as well as drop-off & pick-up. The staff lot on the East side of the school is reserved for staff parking and freight deliveries. Student drop-off and pick-up is prohibited in the staff lot. We expect the school to be bustling with traffic during a few big events such as Open House. Please use any available parking lot on these infrequent occasions. The staff lot can be used in the evening for guests using the Lolo Branch of the Missoula County Public Library. Please respect private homeowners' access and residential traffic.

Free or Reduced Price Meals

Everyone, and we mean EVERYONE should apply for free/reduced meals each school year. The act of application helps the school, regardless of the outcome. Applying helps the school qualify for additional funding and is the only way we can get it. The portal is secure and confidential. PLEASE CLICK HERE

Safety Starts with You!

Alert drivers save lives. Slow down, focus on the road, and give yourself ample time. We all run late from time to time, but that doesn't mean we need to create a hazard for others.

Please teach your kids how to correctly use a crosswalk, even at locations where there isn't a crossing assistant. Remind them to cross Highway 93 ONLY at an intersection with a traffic signal. Help kids learn how to enter and exit your vehicle with their backpack & supplies on the passenger side, even if that means sliding across the seat.

Courtesy and caution go a long way. Be kind to pedestrians, cyclists, other motorists, and our traffic assistant staff. Following rules and signs makes traffic predictable and safer.
